Artist statement

Born and raised in a Brazilian town on the shores of the Itajaí-Açu River, Vanessa immerses herself in a variety of visual and artistic forms. Her fascination with the mysterious and the inexplicable permeates all her artistic production, materialized in the form of assemblages, installations, videos, and art books. The chosen media thus presents itself as images of the unconscious, inviting the viewer to reflect on the invisible and the unnameable.

Her work has been shown at biennal, solo, and group exhibitions, art markets, and in independent publications. Currently based in Berlin, Vanessa relentlessly continues to write her story across Europe.
